Trump vs. Musk Just Nuked TSLA. We’re Still Laughing.

So, Trump lost it yesterday. June 5th. Full meltdown mode.
He hopped on Truth Social (you know, the app formerly known as Twitter for boomers), and went after Elon. Called him crazy. Threatened to kill off Tesla’s federal contracts. Said he took away Elon’s “EV mandate” and that Elon “went CRAZY!” Yeah, all caps. You can hear the veins popping.(Source – Financial Times)
Tesla stock? Cratered. Down 14%. $150 billion evaporated in a day.(Source – Reuters)
If you didn’t know better, you’d think Elon had personally insulted Trump’s spray tan artist.
Meanwhile, Elon’s over on X (yes, still weird calling it that), saying Trump would’ve lost in 2024 without him. Then casually drops this little gem: “Such ingratitude.”(Source – Washington Post)
This is not normal CEO behavior. This is Elon Musk. And love him or hate him, the guy doesn't exactly do “stay in your lane.”
But here’s where it gets good.
Everyone’s Panicking. We’re Not.
Let the talking heads scream about the feud. Let Wall Street clutch their pearls. Over here? We’re kicking back and watching the robotaxi countdown clock.
Because this? This isn’t a business crisis. It’s two egomaniacs flinging digital food at each other. And the market? It freaked out like it always does when something loud happens. But Tesla’s still doing what Tesla does—building.
Robotaxis. The real kind. Not the "someday, maybe" kind. The app is already showing up for some users. It’s happening.
Optimus is folding laundry and stacking battery packs like it’s applying for employee of the month.
And a low-cost Tesla is coming. That part’s not a rumor anymore—it’s been confirmed, teased, re-teased, and basically shouted from every earnings call.
So, do we care that Trump got mad online? Nope. Not even a little.
Look at the Bigger Picture
Trump doesn’t move product. He doesn’t build factories. He doesn’t make Dojo faster or train FSD.
He definitely doesn’t engineer software that makes a car drive itself while you sip a latte in the passenger seat. All he did was throw a fit because Elon didn’t bow.
If you sold on that? I’ve got a Theranos timeshare to sell you.
Look—Tesla doesn’t rely on political goodwill. That’s never been the play. It’s been about solving problems no one else has the guts (or silicon) to touch. You think politicians are gonna stop that? You think a Truth Social post is stronger than 500,000 GPUs and a couple thousand robots?
Please.
TL;DR – This Is Noise
Trump yelled. Elon clapped back. The stock dipped.
But here’s the truth: the future doesn’t care about feuds.
It cares about who’s building it.
And right now, that’s still Tesla.
