Cybertruck Dominates: Tesla's Electric Pickup Takes Q3 by Storm

The Cybertruck Outsells Everyone—No Surprise There

So, it happened. The Tesla Cybertruck, with its angular, Blade Runner vibe, just outsold every other EV pickup in Q3 (Lambert). Yep, you read that right. This beast, which looks more like it belongs in a sci-fi movie than on your local highway, is now officially the king of the electric truck world. Honestly, are we even surprised? It’s Tesla. They do things differently, and that difference clearly has people hooked.

Tesla Takes the Top 3 EV Spots—Cybertruck Bumps Mach-E Out of the Way

But here’s the real kicker: not only did the Cybertruck crush other EV pickups, it overtook the Ford Mustang Mach-E to claim the third spot on the overall EV sales list—even with its $100k price tag (Kane). That’s right—Tesla now holds all three top spots in the EV market. First place? The Model Y, no contest (Lambert). Second place? The trusty Model 3 (Lambert). And in third? That tank-like, unapologetically weird Cybertruck (Kane).

What About the Competition?

I mean, look at the competition. Rivian, Ford, Chevy—they’ve all got their shiny electric trucks rolling out, but none of them have the swagger of the Cybertruck. Sure, the others might be a little more “conventional” looking (because, apparently, some people prefer their trucks without armor plating), but it’s clear that Tesla fans were ready for something radically different.

The Cybertruck Isn’t Just a Pretty Face

And let's be real, the Cybertruck isn't just about looks. It’s got that Tesla-level performance we’ve come to expect. Insane torque, stupid-fast acceleration for something that weighs about as much as a small house, and all the tech bells and whistles you could ask for. FSD, autopilot, more cameras than a Marvel movie—it’s all there.

Silverado EV: Impressive, But No Cybertruck

Now, let’s talk about the Chevy Silverado EV for a second. Look, we’re obviously Tesla fans here at Rebellionaire, but we’re not blind to the fact that Chevy’s come out swinging. The Silverado EV is a great-looking truck with an impressive 400+ miles of range (Smith) and serious towing capabilities (Wayland). It’s no slouch, and competition like this is good for the EV market overall. Different trucks for different folks, right? But while we can appreciate what Chevy’s doing, we just don’t take the competition too seriously. Tesla’s still the one leading the charge (pun intended), and it shows with the top three EV spots going to the Model Y, Model 3, and now, the Cybertruck.

How Does It Drive?

You might be wondering: "Yeah, but how does it drive?" Good question. That’s the thing—some early testers have been raving about it, while others... well, let’s just say they’re still getting used to piloting a tank on wheels. It’s not your average F-150, that's for sure. But then again, Tesla never promised "average," right?

The Future of Trucks?

One more thought. Is this the future of trucks? Maybe. It’s definitely a future. There’s no denying that Tesla has the unique ability to turn its wild ideas into reality. Whether it's the Cybertruck taking over construction sites or just showing off in grocery store parking lots, it's clear this thing is more than just a vehicle. It’s a statement.

Tesla’s Still on Top

So, yeah, the Cybertruck outsold the competition in Q3 and even bumped the Mach-E to steal third place overall—even at the $100k price point. And while we respect the Silverado EV’s impressive range and capabilities, we’re just not sweating it. Tesla’s still the one dominating the top spots, and it doesn’t look like that’s changing anytime soon.
